Description

Another of the 2023/24 additions to the North Fruita Desert Trails, Prickly Pear mostly follows the contours along a bentonite ridge in the lower desert. The trail is relatively flat, no sustained uphill or downhill, although there are a couple of short, steep climbs into and out of various washes.

You'll want to watch your speed around a couple of short turns or you may end up tumbling down the bentonite into a wash.

The trail terminates at a four way intersection at The Edge Loop - Lower 18 Road Section but you can continue straight onto the new Lizard Loop for more of the same riding.
