Overview

Goulding Creek climb, Pinkerton-Flagstaff Trail #522 traverse and descent, to Jones Creek downhill.

Description

Ride requires two vehicle. One parked at the bottom of Goulding Creek and the other park at the Hermosa Creek campground. Start the ride with a combo of pedaling/hike a bike on Goulding Creek. Steep and full of switchbacks until getting through the cattle gate and the climb becomes a bit easier to pedal. Turn left onto Pinkerton-Flagstaff Trail #522 and the trail is primarily downhill towards Jones Creek but has some small uphill punches here and there. The final section of descent on Pinkerton-Flagstaff Trail #522 before Jones Creek is awesome and one of the best section of tech, views, and speed. Turn right in the meadow onto Jones Creek and enjoy the downhill littered with side hits, roots, rocks, high speeds, and good turns. Ride finishes at the Hermosa Creek campground.
