Family Friendly Wide aggregate trail, some climbing, no obstacles

Description

From the parking lot, there is a bit of a steep climb up to the top of the dam that may have some pushing their bikes. Once at the top of the dam, you have the choice of going to the right or left. The trail takes you around the old Ward Lake that used to be the water supply for Mena. The trail meanders along the old shoreline of the old lake sometimes climbing, and sometimes descending, either of which are not real long. The corridor is wide and the tread consists of aggregate rock, so it's pretty smooth. There are no technical obstacles or features on this trail. The views from the top of the dam are really nice and if you enjoy quiet time this is a nice place to be.
