Overview

Big Bang is a newer classic Flagstaff trail. It can be ridden in both directions, but is more popular as a downhill ride. It's an exciting descent with several exposed spots, making it an upper intermediate trail. As a climb, it's sustained and challenging; all but the most expert riders will end up pushing their bike at some points.

Description

Consider climbing Lower Brookbank or Swell to access the top of the Dry Lake Hills where Big Bang starts. From the top sections, there are great views looking south over Flagstaff. Riding through a mix of pines, firs, and junipers on the south-facing aspects adds to this trail's quality and character.
