Description

The Bay Circuit Trail (BCT) a trail that's more than 230 miles long and extends around Boston in a giant arc. I've done Northern sections many times, but have yet to tackle the whole course. Anyway, starting in the northern most end, the course *technically* starts further out on Plum Island, but I've always started at the Parker River Wildlife Refuge. You'll hop on to the trail and immediately skirt along the edge of a small airport (Plum Island Airport), then the trail continues through the Spencer-Pierce-Little Farm. This first trail section is relatively short before you're back on the road. The northern section does have a fair amount of road riding before the trails really become dominant.

For the first "trail section," you'll be skirting the edges of a small airport.
