The only real technical cross country trails in the truckee tahoe area are those that were originally built for moto use in the 90s. Thankfully, both animal crackers and animal are exactly that! Climb up the easy grade of animal crackers and drop down the flowy corners of animal for a great lunch time loop that doesnt see much traffic.

This route begins in a parking lot with a pit toilet restroom, follow animal crackers up prosser hill, which largely follows as gentle grade. At the summit shoulder, animal takes riders down a fast and flowy section of trail with a few rock gardens. Long straight sections carry high speeds amidst the pine trees. A short fire road carries you back to the parking lot.

Due to being off the beaten path, this route sees little traffic regardless of its fantastic nature.
