Overview

Easy fire roads take you to Hawks Peak for big panoramic views, followed by ever easier and more flowy descending down Mother Lode and True Grit to the adventure center.

Description

Begin your ride up Cinnamon Twist followed by the easy fire roads of Sundance up to Hawks Peak. From this panorama atop a volcanic plug, descend down Mother Lode to True Grit all the way back to the adventure center. This route is the most classic loop for the Tahoe Donner region and frequented by locals and visitors alike.
