Family Friendly Easy, short ride from Kachina Village

Overview

The Kachina Wetland is a top destination for birders, but the location next to Kachina Village also makes it a go-to spot for family outings and casual exercise at any time of day or year. You can ride your bike on the perimeter trails around the wetland, but please respect the hikers, dog walkers, photographers, and birders who share the trails.

Description

A network of unofficial trails encircle all of the ponds and meadows in the Kachina Wetlands, so this loop is just one route that you can choose to take. Start from the trailhead in Kachina Village, as mapped here, or make a longer ride with Highlands Trail to get here from Fort Tuthill.
