Description

Whether coming back down from Strand Hill or climbing up toward Strand Bonus, this trail doesn't disappoint. The trail gently rolls through a treeless meadow on the side of Strand Hill, slowly gaining elevation. The views of Teocalli and the east river valley are fantastic.

3.5 miles out Brush Creek Road from its intersection with Hwy 135, Farris Creek Road climbs up a hill to the right. (Farris Creek Road is 1/2 mile past the Slate River crossing and large barn by the road.) Continue On Brush Creek Road 1/2 mile just past a cattleguard to a singletrack on the right. Ride through the meadow, across the canal and start up the Canal Trail, which is signed at the top of the hill after the canal crossing.
