Bceause this trail directly accesses the XC Ski Loop, this trail is not open to bikes when skiing conditions are present. Fat bikes are not allowed on the groomed ski trails. Even though this trail isn't groomed, it starts and ends on the groomed trails.

Description

This section of singletrack is part of WNYMBA's effort to make as much singletrack alternative to the wide and easy XC ski trail.

It starts at the same place as the XC Ski Trail, at the warming hut. It branches off immediately to the left down the field and into the woods where it makes a hard right. It then begins a steep and rooty climb. to the top of the hill where it just touches the XC ski trail before forking off again.

The trail snakes through the woods, crossing a couple of creeks to give the trail its name. The last bridge crosses a small wetland and brings you to the end of trail midway on the XC ski loop.
