Description

This trail connects the base of Schultz Creek to trails off Elden Lookout Road. It's a decent ride as an out-and-back, but is more enjoyable as a downhill or as a connection on longer routes.

Rocky Ridge climbs moderately along the south-facing slopes of the Dry Lake Hills, which can get warm in the afternoon. Most of the trail is rocky, although there's nothing terribly technical. An excess of loose rocks makes this a very tough climbing trail. There are good views on occasion across Fort Valley and Flagstaff.

The top of Rocky Ridge offers easy connections to the Brookbank and Lower Oldham Trail, as well as the option of climbing higher on Elden Lookout Road.
