Access the Minnie Mine Trail from the Reiling Dredge Trail, 3 miles up French Gulch.

From the trailhead, go West through a wooden chicane. Pass the X10U8 Trail on the left after a few hundred feet and climb steadily for 3/4 mile to the Minnie Mine site ruins. This is a great viewpoint.

The trail continues on the West side of the mining area and utilizes a contouring trail for 1/3 mile before descending to a golden-colored tailings area and a 3-way intersection (Side Door Trail is just West of this junction).

Take a hard left downhill and follow Minnie Mine Trail down a steep descent, crossing X10U8 after 1/4 mile and ending on French Gulch Road.

The first 2/3 of Minnie Mine is excellent in either direction; however, the last 1/3 (specifically from X10U8 to the 3-way intersection) is a steep climb.

Minnie Mine is South-facing and dries early. It is also heavy with aspens, making for a great fall ride.
