Description
The Allsopp Park trails consists of a north loop and a south loop. To go from one to the other, you have to cut through a neighborhood (Beechwood is usually the best road to take). The trail is mostly singletrack, but there is a wide gravel road that follows the creek on the north loop that allows you to bypass the climb that runs parallel to North Lookout Rd.
The trail is very rocky, rooty, gravelly, with many climbs and descents, and a some short technical sections thrown in. Some of the rocks are sharp so be sure to have a spare tube as flats are somewhat common out here. It's easier ridden in a clockwise direction.
The spur that runs off to the northwest can be accessed on Kavanaugh but is a very challenging technical descent/climb (depending on which direction you go) and should only be attempted by experienced riders.
This is a multi-use trail so there are often hikers/runners/dogs on the trail as well so keep your speed in check.
