Description

This trail starts off of Schultz Pass Road, just east of the Schultz Tank trailhead area. It is all gravel fire road with no technical sections. It does maintain a steady, but gradual climb, though. Enjoy the views to the east and north as you ascend from pines up into aspens. You'll ride through the burn area of the Schultz fire, past steep drainage paths coming off the San Francisco peaks, and under a rock bridge on this climb. This trail is best used to access the Inner Basin Trail descent from Waterline Road down to Lockett Meadow. Can also be ridden as an out-and-back from Schultz Pass Loop.

Schultz Pass Road is back open following the Pipeline Fire couple of years ago. The trail is newly graded and smooth, but a bit gravelly. 12mi — 2h 00m
