Description

Bear Canyon starts from Timpooneke Rd on narrow singletrack in the forest. It's mellow at first and then goes on a continuously steep and wild ride.

For the most part, the tread is rough and a bit loose. There are a number of switchbacks that demand your attention with big boulders to navigate around.

The bottom end of the route rolls out to the Alpine Scenic Byway. From here, you can access Pine Hollow #47 to get to other trails like Salamander Flat Trail #150 and Ridge Trail #157.
