Description

This is the loop portion of Highlands Trail, which branches off of Soldier's Trail in Fort Tuthill and connects to 89A if desired. On the other side of 89A, the rest of Highlands Trail continues about a mile and a half to connect to Kachina Village. The loop may also be known as "Jalapeño" to some due to its shape. There is one steep portion on the west side of the jalapeño tip to watch out for, other than that, it's pretty smooth-flowing singletrack.
