Lower lake area has a lot of camping and chilling areas. Avoid heavy traffic in early/late hours or during shoulder seasons.

On the way up. The steepest section in my opinion is the quick, initial climb at the beginning.

This is west of the 3rd intersection on Stinking Springs; you'll enter the tree line at the 3rd intersection coming from Sidewinder. The intersections are good markers to keep track of how far you want to go.
