Recommended Route

A Recommended Route showcases some of the best trails in this area.
- A local favorite you'd recommend to visitors.
- It might use several trails, or just part of one.
- It should stand out from nearby Recommended Route.
Trail

Trails are shown like they are on paper maps.
- A single named trail from start to finish.
- We show the entire trail, even if only part of it is commonly biked or combined with other trails.
- It should match an official local map.
If your trail doesn't fit one of those descriptions, it probably doesn't belong on
MTB Project.
But we're glad you're getting out and having fun!

Hi , it looks like you're adding your first trail.
Riders like you that share their favorite trails are what make this site so great. But we want to warn you that it's not super easy!- Unlike some other sites, we only document legal trails approved by local land managers as shown on their maps.
- We also love Recommended Routes (that might use multiple trails), which are local favorites you would recommend to a visitor or new rider. These need a great description and a photo or two.
- MTB Project is generally not designed for logging your personal tracks - we're focused on creating a shared reference for everyone to discover their favorite trails.
There's a ton of great tips about adding trails in this FAQ.
